Forget about coffee and alcohol for the next seven days and instead of heavy seasoning learn to use herbs to sharpen flavours and accent tastes.
In the first couple of days it is common to experience some flatulence and Diarrhoea, but by the end of the week you will experience an improvement in a wide range of your digestive movements.

7 day Detox – Day One
Juice of half a grapefruit in half a glass of hot water, topped up with apple juice and a spoonful of honey. A bunch of grapes and an apple.

A large glass of vegetable juice spiked with a squeeze of lemon juice. A large bowl of dried fruit, previously soaked overnight: apricots, figs, sultanas, etc.
Hot Blackcurrant and Apple juice with a little honey added
A mixed salad of fresh raw vegetables; celery, grated cabbage, chicory, any green or red salad leaves, chunks of fennel, watercress, and any other fresh salad vegetables you enjoy. Salad dressing and an Apple.
Salad Dressing Recipe:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon parsley
sea salt & freshly ground black pepper to season
7 day Detox – Day Two
Same As Day One – Except Main Meal
Celery, Radish & Walnut Salad. A Baked Potato and sugar-free baked beans.
1 Bunch Radishes
3-4 Sticks Celery
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon juice
sea salt & black pepper to season
Scrub the radishes and cut them into fine slices: save the best unwilted bits of the green leafy tops. Clean the celery and slice fine; save some of the feathery fronds. Roughly chop the walnuts. Make a dressing with the oil, lemon juice and seasoning. Spoon the dressing over and decorate with the fronds of the celery and radish.
