Banapple Tofu Smoothie Recipe

Bananas and apples contain pectin, which helps remove toxins and excess cholesterol from the digestive tract. It also encourages the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut, which is essential to maintain harmony and prevent the overgrowth of bad bacteria such as Candida albicans.

Apples are an astringent tonic. They Relieve constipation, reactivate beneficial gut bacteria and reduce total cholesterol. They also help remove toxins and are rich in Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Vitamin C, Beta-carotene and Pectin

Tofu has phyto-oestrogenic properties that regulate any excess circulating oestrogens, which may play a part in the build-up of arterial plaque.
Ingredients … You will need
- 3 teaspoons of pumpkin seeds
- 400 gm (14 oz) of organic tofu
- 2 bananas
- 2 medium unpeeled apples
- 1½ litres of rice milk or oat milk
Preparation and Cooking
Quarter and core the apples but do not peel them
Drain and cube the tofu
Grind the pumpkin seeds in a food processor or coffee grinder to release their essential fats and prevent any irritation in the gut.
Add the remainder of the smoothie ingredients and then blend for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
